Appointment Terms and Conditions

No hidden costs   -   Transparency   -   Honesty

By making an appointment you agree to our terms and conditions as set out below.​

  • Booking on the phone or in store: You will be required to pay a £20 deposit to secure your appointment at Wags Pet Spa. This is non refundable 72 hours prior to appointment. Should you fail to show for your appointment, cancel or change the appointment within 72 hours, you will lose your deposit for this appointment and be required to pay a new deposit for your next appointment.

  • Booking online: You will be required to provide valid card details online, however no payment will be taken online at time of booking unless you are otherwise told. If you cancel, change or fail to show for your appointment without giving more than 72 hours notice, you will be charged 50% of the appointment price from the card you registered online and will be required to re-book online or over the phone or in store with a £20 deposit. Failure to pay this will result in no further appointments with Wags Pet Spa.

  • No Shows: Our staff members’ reserve the right to cancel any appointment at any time. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, we may not be able to accommodate you. In this case your £20 deposit will be lost if booked in store or on the phone, and online bookings will be charged 50% of the appointment price via the card registered online. Should you fail to show for an appointment, you may be asked to pay for your next booking in full (refundable until 72 hour prior to the appointment). This is to the discretion of the Staff at Wags Pet Spa.

  • Refusal of appointment, deposits and paying for work completed - If your appointment is refused by Wags Pet Spa’s staff due to aggression, skin conditions, any other issue not Wags Pet Spa’s fault ie. open wounds, upon arrival or during the session, meaning we're unable to complete the appointment as booked, the deposit will be lost and not refunded as a minimum payment. You will be charged for any work completed during your appointment, the amount payable is to the discretion of Wags Pet Spa’s staff. Appointment refusal is up to the discretion of each individual staff member. The safety of the you, your pets and staff members is paramount. We do not accept aggressive pets or customers.

  • Matted Pets: Will incur additional charges. Charges will depend upon the severity of the matting and is to the discretion of Wags Pet Spa staff as to how much this will be depending upon each individual pets’ case. This may result in your pet being shaved short to skin to abide by the Animal Welfare Act. We will not be held responsible for any cuts, nicks or grazes of the skin due to matting on any part of the pet. Matted ears have a high risk of hematoma. Shaving close to the skin can reveal old and new issues. Matting prices start at +£5 per pet but can raise to over £50

  • Fleas, ticks and lice - If either fleas, ticks or lice are found upon your pet, there will be an additional fee of £25 per affected pet who enters the salon. This will cover fumigation of the salon/reception areas. We do not accept dogs’ in the salon with known fleas, ticks or lice.

  • We do not accept known aggressive pets, if your pet has any previous aggression tendencies between other pets/humans/staff, we MUST be told prior to booking appointment. The Wags Pet Spa staff reserve the right to refuse an appointment during or prior. See refusal of appointment for payment charges.

  • Aggressive, accepted pets who need a second staff member will see a +£15 per every half hour an additional staff member is required.

  • No liability will be accepted by Wags Pet Spa if a pet or customer incurs any injury on the premises.

  • No liability will be accepted by Wags Pet Spa if any health conditions are aggravated or new conditions occur during or after any of the appointment sessions. We do not accept liability for escaped pets, all dog should come with properly fitted collars and tags and must always be lead by well fitted equipment.

  • We do not accept pets in season, pregnant or not fully vaccinated.

  • Clipping the double coated pet - Please be advised that there are increased risks of potential side effects such as coat funk (alopecia) for those who decide to have their pets clipped, specifically double coated dogs. We will not clip a double coated dog unless they have been clipped before (damaging the coat), or if the dog is matted, which then incurs additional charges. Wags Pet Spa accepts no liability for adverse effects of this.

  • We do not express anal glands or pluck ears - these are now classed as a veterinary procedure and are not insured for these.

  • Pets may be put into pens or crates during their visit to Wags pet Spa, therefore accept no liability for pets attempting to escape. Pets must be able to be within close proximity to other pets at the salon, any issues may see your pets appointment cancelled and charged accordingly. This is to the digression of the Wags Pet Spa’s staff.

  • Late drop off - The Wags Pet Spa staff reserves the right to cancel the appointment if you fail to show within the first 10 minutes. This will be classed as a no show and charged as per the terms above.

  • You agree to exercise and toilet the pet prior to your appointment. There are additional clean up charges for any mess created which is considered excessive. Ie, toileting in the salon or reception. Charged to the discretion of Wags Pet Spa’s staff (Usually +£5 per clean up).

  • Restraints may be used to keep pets safe and secure such as a noose, belly strap, sling or any other item such as muzzle, cone or anything the Wags Pet Spa staff feels is necessary to ensure safety to all those involved.

  • Late collection - There will be a charge of £6 per every 20 minutes late for pet collection - You accept communication via text message, phone call or in salon for collection times of pets or items.

  • The Wags Pet Spa staff reserves the right to stop/cancel any appointment at any point - you will be charged accordingly. Minimum charges £30 per appointment or 50% of the groom.

  • All dogs must be fully vaccinated and micro-chipped which is up to date.

  • Social Media and photos/videos - You agree to allow Wags Pet Spa to use photos or videos of your pets on the premises for advertising or educational purposes. Photo rights stay with Wags Pet Spa.

  • Payment is to be made by cash or card upon pet collection at the latest. Late payment (after closing time that day), will incur a late payment charge/admin of £15.

  • Leaving reviews: Wags Pet Spa will always aim to produce a 5* service to you and your pet with the pets welfare as our number one priority, although if you feel your service was less than 5/5 you should notify Wags Pet Spa to see if this can be rectified. Online or otherwise reviews lower than 5 stars are not permitted without Wags Pet Spa being notified. Any Complaints should be made within 24 hours otherwise declared null and void.

  • Any appointment made over the phone, face to face or online will automatically be added to marketing by us through phone, email, sms and whatsapp. You can opt out at any time. You will automatically be added to our contact list from us, for booking reminders, collection times etc via email, sms and whatsapp. You can opt out of this at any time, however this may mean that your future appointments are refused.

  • Puppy Grooms/Intros include only, bath, brush, nails trimmed and bum, feet and face clear only, or as much as the dog will allow

Teeth Cleaning Terms

 

  • Wags Pet Spa will use a product called Cleany Teeth ultrasound toothbrush, this is a no movement, vibration or noise method of assisting in the removal of build up plaque, tartar and stains.

  • Your pets teeth may see stains, plaque and tartar removed, potentially causing teeth to become loose. Wags Pet Spa is not to be held liable for teeth becoming loose or falling out.

  • Wags Pet Spa will stop the teeth cleaning session should the following occur: Loose teeth found or suspected, dog becomes aggressive or objects to the treatment making it unsafe to continue, foreign body embedded in the mouth, oral warts, oral injuries, tumours, sore gums, excessive bleeding.

  • There may be minor bleeding during the teeth cleaning process.

  • Should an appointment be terminated due to aggression, the full price is still payable.

  • Wags Pet Spa is the trading name under KLB Creative Ltd

 

Wags Pet Spa: General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Wags Pet Spa takes your privacy seriously and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy sets out how the information that you provide will be used.

As part of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) it is now necessary for me to inform you of the information I keep about you and your dog(‘s), how it is used and stored and to receive permission for specific information to be stored and used.

Who AM I?

KLB Creative Limited, trading name Wags Pet Spa.

Your Information:

I will collect information before your pets 1st appointment such as name, address and contact details, plus your pets’ details such as age, colour and breed.. I need this so that I can contact you for pet collection, if there ever should be a problem or to arrange a collection/drop off time. I will also need details about your pet including the vets you use and information about any medical conditions or behavioural issues he/she may have. I will keep a record of all moles, growths and warts and keep you informed of any changes should I notice them, plus details of how the appointment has gone, how the dog has behaved and anything related to your pets visit. I may also use your details to contact you regarding any offers at Wags Pet Spa or appointment reminders. I will record what equipment has been used to complete your pets visit.

How Your Information Will Be Stored:

All paperwork you sign (such as sign up form, T&C’s contract etc) will be stored in a secure and locked place during silent hours. This information may also be kept on a computer laptop or mobile phone for ease of use. These are either password or fingerprint protected unique to Wags Pet Spa staff.

How the Law Applies to KLB Dog Grooming:

I will only use your personal information if I have:

-Asked you and have a record of your consent for us to do so. (If information is unable to be taken, your pets appointment may be refused).

-A legal obligation to use or disclose information about you.

Wags Pet Spa will not rent, swap or sell your personal data to other organisations. You can withdraw from Wags Pet Spa storing your information by emailing wagspetspawv@gmail.com or writing to :

I will keep a copy of your information and the services that your pets receive until you ask for this information to be removed.

After this, your information will be destroyed.

Privacy Policy Receipt:

I confirm that I have read, understood and give my consent to Wags Pet Spa to collect my data and process it accordingly under the General Data Protection Regulations May 2018.

Wags Pet Spa will not rent, sell or swap my personal information to other organisations for them to use in their own marketing activities. Wags Pet Spa will never use or disclose any information about me unless they are legally obliged to do so.

I agree that Wags Pet Spa may use any photos taken of my dog and they can be used for advertising and marketing Wags Pet Spa and Wags Pet Spa remains the owners of these photos.

I confirm that Wags Pet Spa is permitted to contact me via my:

Mobile Number, Landline, Email, Whats app, Social Media: (eg, messenger/facebook etc) or any other form.

New and existing customers can view our LIVE availability day or night via our online booking system:

If you are an existing customer signed up to the Wags Pet Spa Portal, you can keep all of yours and your pets details up to date any time, view past invoices, book appointments and more.
